The Basics
• Each team must bring a regulation basketball
to play.
Registration
• Teams can consist of three, four or five players:
three starters and one or two substitute(s).
• No roster changes may be allowed after a team’s
first scheduled game.
• Adult teams (at least one player over 19 years
old) will be placed in divisions based on similar height
and the age of the youngest player.
• Teen and youth divisions will be grouped on
the oldest player on the team (teen= all players 18
and younger; youth= all players 11 and younger).
Game Play
• All divisions are bracketed to provide the
fairest playing experience possible.
• All teams will be scheduled for at least three
games.
• Format will be based on the number of teams
registered.
• Games will be played on a half-court, using
official the Streetball Slam rules.
• Fouls: there will be referees on all courts.
• Games are played to 16 points or for 30 minutes.
• Scoring: 1 point per basket; 2 points for
shots made from beyond the arc. First team to 16 points
or the team ahead after 30 minutes wins (whichever comes
first).
Possession alternates after each basket.
Rules and Regulations
. Registration ($125) must be received by 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008.
2. The Registration Fee must accompany the registration form. Please make checks payable to: San Antonio Sports Foundation. We reserve the right to limit the number of teams, so register early.
3. The registration form must be filled out completely. Please Print. INCOMPLETE FORMS CANNOT BE PROCESSED.
4. Before the tournament, teams will receive confirmation of the team’s registration form and fee, which will include key information about the packet pick-up.
5. The event staff reserves the right to spot check players’ height, weight, age and experience level throughout the tournament. False information is grounds for disqualification. Each team member is must carry personal identification throughout the event.
6. In case of inclement weather, event management reserves the right to reduce the number of scheduled games. Entry fees are nonrefundable after registration deadline.
7. Personal Injury & Property Damage Waiver. Competitive basketball involves inherent risks and may result in injuries. By signing the registration form, participant/parent assumes full responsibility for and releases, waives and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the San Antonio Sports Foundation, its officers, directors, employees and volunteers, the City of San Antonio, and all other persons and entities associated with the event, from and against any and all liability for any loss, injury, or damage whatsoever suffered by participants and any claim or cause of action of participant as a result thereof, including, without limitation, claims for personal injury or property damage. Furthermore, the participants grant full permission to any and all picture recordings or other record of this event. The information provided by the participants on the registration form must be true and accurate.
8. Player eligibility for NCAA, collegiate sports and local school districts vary. The event organizers are not responsible for determining each player’s eligibility. Before registering, contact your coach or athletic director and ask how your eligibility would be affected, if at all, by registering for Streetball Slam.
