Teachers' Incentives
You can help your school by participating in the Diamond Shamrock Go!Kids Challenge™ yourself. Not only will you serve as a terrific role model for your students, the elementary school in each district to have the highest percentage of teachers to walk and complete the Diamond Shamrock Go!Kids Challenge will win GYM-I-NEE playground equipment, courtesy of www.WeMakePEFun.com. (School districts with fewer than 10 elementary schools will compete against each other.) The GYM-I-NEE is the perfect game for excitement, exercise and fun.
In order to participate, click here for a form to track your progress. When you complete the Diamond Shamrock Go!Kids Challenge,™ turn in your form to your PE contact, and they will submit it to the Sports Foundation by December 15th.
Key Dates
There are some key dates for you to be aware of during this year’s Diamond Shamrock Go!Kids Challenge™.
It is important that the Sports Foundation has good estimates of the numbers of children participating in this year’s Diamond Shamrock Go!Kids Challenge to help us gauge how many medals and t-shirts we’ll need to provide at the conclusion of the program.
On October 29, we’ve asked all P.E. contacts to provide an estimate of the number of children participating in the Diamond Shamrock Go!Kids Challenge from each school. Please be sure you report those numbers to your P.E. coordinator. We will ask for another head count on November 19. The Subway Victory Lap Celebration is December 5. Children who complete the program but cannot attend the Victory Lap Celebration will receive their medals at school during the week of December 6.
