Post-game Quotes
NAME: Jose Alves Santos Neto
Head Coach, Brazil
QUOTE:
“We played hard in the first quarter but we lost our confidence in the second and third quarters and then we gained confidence again in the fourth quarter. I told the players to just play hard.
The players did everything we told them to do. They played as a team. This medal is very important to Brazil because Brazil is growing every year.
Today we won a bronze medal, but I told the players to look at it like a gold medal. Our coaching staff gave the team all that they needed to win.”
NAME: Paulo Sergio Prestes
Player, Brazil
QUOTE:
“First of all, Jose Duarte was the big point in the first half because of his three point shot. In the second half I was the big scorer. I know that I got a lot of attention, so when I got the ball I opened space for the wings and the point guard.
I played last year, but now I’m invited to play with Brazil’s National Senior Team.”
