GAME #1 (Argentina 99 v. Bahamas 59)
NAME: Guillermo Narvarte
POSITION: Head Coach, Argentina
QUOTE: “We’re very happy because we won, and that was the most important thing. We all know that the difference in these types of tournaments is that the time is a lot shorter, and the possibility of tying is a lot greater. So when there is a bigger difference in the scoring earlier on, then it’s a lot better. Our priority was to win the game and once we had established the lead by such a large difference…”
“Our main objective is to qualify. We know that we’re playing in a hard league. Puerto Rico and Canada are very important rivals. We didn’t know of the Bahamas team very well, so in this game we were able to see what advantages we have.”
