Community Olympic Development Program

The Community Olympic Development Program (CODP), is a partnership between the San Antonio Sports Foundation and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).

The success of Dreams for Youth caught the attention of the USOC, which had been searching the nation for grassroots developmental programs that they could build on. The USOC created the CODP to enhance local sports development by filling in the gap between grassroots programs and National Governing Bodies’ (NGB) elite programs and named San Antonio as its pilot program in 1997. It operates in only nine locations nationwide.

Through the CODP, talented young athletes in San Antonio experience quality coaching, facilities, equipment, and competitions necessary to excel to their highest level of athletic achievement.
